Judy Starr's Gallery

A little trinket, a bauble or other people's castoffs can be
just enough to ignite my imagination. An abandoned wine box
turns into a 3-ringed circus, an old wooden medicine cabinet is
transformed into a penny arcade gypsy fortuneteller and a
Masonic apron becomes a galaxy. Charms, crystals, beads and
scraps of lace weave my boxes together.

My artwork reflects a multitude of memories - from my grand-
mother's overstuffed sofa to my father's tales of India and my
family trips to Far Rockaway's Boardwalk. The treasures that
the seasons brought delighted the child that I was then and
the child that is in me still.
